A flexible, affordable group coaching programme with the mission to create a community of coaches who can support the world and each other into the next age.
Being a coach can be a lonely business, and the coach’s journey is not always easy. I created The Coach’s Journey Community as a part of my work to support coaches to create thriving practices and to thrive as people while they do it.
As a member, you will get my support as your coach and be part of a community of coaches who are passionate about taking their coaching work out into the world and thriving as people while they do that. From over six years leading The Coach’s Journey Community (and it’s predecessor, another group coaching programme) - and from my own personal experience - I know that group coaching experiences are an almost unrivalled way to learn about the craft of coaching, the business of coaching and how to deal with all the different difficulties and opportunities of life as a coach.

The Coach’s Journey Community started as an experiment, to support coaches for who the other ways of working with me don’t quite fit due to their intensity or fee.
But it has become some of the absolute best work I do, my favourite calls of the month: inviting me and the members more and more into our zones of genius, and bringing to those who attend joy, beauty and connection.
In the community, you will get access to regular community calls, giving you ongoing coaching, mentoring and teaching from me and the opportunity to connect with other amazing coaches.
This is also my way of making sure that I can support all coaches who are passionate about their work, no matter their financial circumstances. For that reason, Membership starts from as little as £20 per month plus VAT*.
And you can start your membership whenever you want and finish it whenever you want.
One of my favourite things about this way of working is that you get to decide what way of engaging with me and the community is right for you.
You might decide that based on how many calls a year you think will best support you to run a thriving coaching practice and live a thriving life.
You might decide it on what you feel able to afford right now.
You might make the choice based on something altogether different that I haven’t even thought of yet.
And what I love about it is that over the first three years, it has evolved. Some new benefits have been added and the members have even created new things that have nothing to do with me: a whatsapp group, regular meetups. And we now hold an annual in-person intensive in London, open only to members and alumni of the community.
New things are created with, by and for the community. This is the power of bringing people together.

What exactly is a community call?
It is a group coaching call with other coaches, led by me, Robbie Swale. There will be opportunities to be coached, mentored, supervised, taught and more, as well as to connect with other coaches who are passionate about their work. No two calls will be the same, and the potential for learning in them is huge. In fact, in terms of empowering you to run your coaching business on your terms and learning everything I have to teach about coaching, group calls like these can be even more powerful than one-on-one work.
In the calls, I will share lessons I've learned from over seven years of supporting coaches with running their businesses, four years of interviewing amazing coaches for the Coach’s Journey Podcast and everything I've picked up from leading coaches in the field, like Rich Litvin, Robert Holden, Joel Monk, Katie Harvey and Myles Downey. Each call will be recorded and the recordings made available to Members at the levels in attendance, in case you can't make every call.
Who is on each community call?
Each year there will be a total of ten community calls. Four of the ten each year are available to Community Members at both levels. The other six are available only to Full Community Members. Robbie will be on all calls, and may occasionally be joined by special guests - who knows?!
When do community calls happen?
There is one almost every month, and they are usually in the slot 5pm-7pm UK time on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Once you sign up, you'll see the upcoming schedule of calls for your membership, and you can find the next few dates at the bottom of the page. Recordings will be available in case you can't make every call.

What if I want to cancel my Membership later?
That's perfect. You can start and stop Membership at any time. If you stop, thanks for any support you've given, and we hope to see you back again when our support feels like a fit for the next chapter. Once you stop being a member you'll lose access to the benefits you had, but there'll be no hard feelings at all. You’ll always have been one of my clients, and a part of The Coach’s Journey adventure.
Are there any discounts?
Yes - if you pay annually, you will receive a 10% discount. In other words, you’ll get 6 weeks or so of membership for free! Of course, that means cancelling part way through the year isn’t possible. But if you know you’re in for the year, this is a great way to save money.
Are there any bursaries?
Yes - one of my aims when I created The Coach’s Journey Community was to create the most flexible and affordable way of working with me possible. This is in order to make it truly accessible to any coach who wants to have a big impact on the world. Originally, my way of doing that was to have a £10/month level, but I found that that didn’t really serve the members or the wider community - members who paid £10/month didn’t come to calls regularly enough to engage really engage, sometimes missed the calls they did pay for and more. So I decided to remove that level but, if you need a bursary in order to join as a Diamond Member simply email hello@thecoachsjourney.com and say ‘I’d love to be a Diamond Member and I need a bursary to do that.’
We won’t ask any more questions - that’s your business - and we’ll arrange so that you can pay half the fees (equivalent to £10/month) to be a Diamond Member. Honestly, it’ll be a bit clunky because of using Patreon, but we’ll make it happen.
This is all very confusing to me, which membership level should I join?
Yes, it can seem confusing. That’s what happens when you make something really flexible. Here are a few options:
I want to test this out / My budget is really limited - In that case, sign up for Diamond Membership. You can find out when the next Diamond Members call is at the bottom of this page. Sign up just before that and come along - you’ll find out if it feels like it’ll work for you, and if it doesn’t, you can cancel the membership straight away. If it does, you can stay a member for as long as you like. If you stay a member, the cost of this will be £240 a year (or just £216 if you pay annually), and you’ll get four group coaching calls plus lots of other benefits.
I want the Full Coach’s Journey experience - I designed Full Membership to be a really powerful way of working with me, learning as much as you can from me and having a container for you and your business to transform. Sign up, come along to the calls and then after three months of group work, we’ll be in touch to schedule in your first 1-to-1. You’ll get ten group calls and two 1-to-1 sessions each year. The cost for this is £1200 a year (or just £1080 if you pay annually).
I want as much coaching with you as possible, Robbie! - Joining the Coach’s Journey Community is actually the best value way of working with me. If you want to max out what you can get from it, join as a Full Member, and then also buy the extra 1-to-1 time with me. We can start as soon as you sign up. To make it an intense start, we can speak 1-to-1 for the first five months alongside the group calls, including one of your inclusive 1-to-1s and all four extra ones. We’ll use that to give your business a big boost, and then supplement that over the rest of the year with more group calls and another one-to-one. The cost will be £1200 a year (or just £1080 if you pay anually), plus £175 per extra 1-to-1 session you do: so £1780 in total if you pay annually for your membership (for ten group calls and 6 1-to-1s).

Can I experience a community call before I sign up?
No. But you can experience my work through the podcast and the other resources on this website (including videos of me coaching, like the one of me running a full community call on this page). Hopefully, with the bottom Member price at £20 a month, you can afford to sign up, experience it and - if you decide you don't want to be a member any more... just cancel your membership.

I heard you say that membership starts at £10/month but I can’t see that on this page.
Yes, you probably did. Membership used to start at £10/month, but I found that the engagement I could offer for that fee (2 calls a year) didn’t really serve the £10/month members or the wider community. It wasn’t enough to truly engage people and they often missed calls and - to be honest - I don’t feel I supported them that well. I never want The Coach’s Journey Community to be a subscription that people pay for when they don’t use it and should really have cancelled it, so I decided to remove that lowest level. But if £20 a month is too much for you to afford right now, see above for information about bursaries.
Why did you create the Coach’s Journey Community?

I go into loads of details about how and why I create new work, including how this came about. It’s partly about financial accessibility, partly about experimentation, partly about my desire to support coaches and partly about becoming a dad. Listen here.
* What’s that asterisk next to the VAT thing about?
Basically, because Patreon is a big company and the EU has strict (newish) VAT laws about digital services, they have to charge VAT on all the money that goes through the company. In the end I might move to a new platform, but for now we're here and that's part of the way it works. While we have it, you should know that it's not quite as simple as you getting charged the standard VAT/sales tax of where you are, because different benefits are taxable in different ways, so it’s unlikely that you’ll be charged, for example, the full 20% (in the UK) on your fee.
ABOUT ME
I have now been coaching for over eight years, working with leaders, entrepreneurs, creatives and coaches to help them understand their Zones of Genius and make their contribution to the world. The journey has led me to greater happiness and fulfillment than I thought possible. I want that for you. And, it has contained deep personal and professional struggles which I wouldn’t have been able to get through without the amazing support I built around me. I want that for you, too.
I am a serial learner and as part of my journey have been on training calls and sessions with many of the world’s leading coaches and coach trainers including Karen Kimsey-House, Michael Neill, Jim Dethmer, Steve Chandler and Jennifer Garvey Berger. I spent six months being coached by Rich Litvin in his Prosperous Coach Salon and in 2021 joined Robert Holden’s Success Intelligence Mastermind. My coaches have also included Joel Monk, Mike Toller, Katie Harvey and Myles Downey. Part of my Zone of Genius is to share my self, my stories and my learning with others, and to see where and how that can help them grow. Remember, there are ten community calls each year. Full Members get access to all ten community calls, plus two one-on-one sessions with me in each 12 month period. Diamond Members get access to four calls each year, usually in March, June, September and November.
